Co-Founder & Member, Board of Directors at Start It Up Delaware   |  

Jon is a recovering lawyer and accountant who is a founding board member and former CFO of one of the leading mHealth/healthcare IT companies (www.welldoc.com), a co-founder of a startup digital health company (www.CanSurround.com), a co-founder of Start It Up Delaware (www.startitupde.com) and a co-founder of an early stage venture capital fund that invested in luxury goods (Atelier). Jon has served on over 15 boards of companies ranging from startup to over $500M in revenue. Jon currently provides human capital to early stage and emerging growth companies by serving as a board/advisory board member and strategic advisor to both companies and venture funds.

Lynne Kielhorn

Lynne’s biggest claim to fame is as co-owner and co-founder of NanoDrop Technologies, which created the market in small-volume spectrophotometry and was acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2007. She recently launched NovaKera, a science-based skin health product company. She is a Board Member of Vutara, a Utah based super resolution microscope company and an Advisory Board Member of Purigen Biosystems, a California based early stage life science tools company. She was an Advisory Board Member of Helixis, which developed a PCR system and was successfully acquired by Illumina. Earlier Kielhorn was a founding member of Qualicon, a pioneering DuPont venture in microbial analysis systems and she was a member of the DuPont team that commercialized one of the earliest DNA sequencers. Kielhorn is a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Georgetown Medical School and other Universities.

Meg Maley RN BSN

Twenty-five of Meg’s twenty-seven-year healthcare career have been devoted to improving the lives of people living with cancer. A serial entrepreneur, she has founded, owned, operated and sold oncology health care companies and recently spent almost four years in the technology space as an executive with WellDoc Inc. Born of her belief that people living with cancer deserve specialized care at home, Meg’s first company, Oncology Care Home Health Specialists, was the first and only oncology specific home care company in the country and delivered hands on multidisciplinary care for almost 17 years. Now as President/ CEO of Oncology Care Home Health (www.oncologycarehh.com), Meg’s work is focused on delivering a comprehensive, turnkey solution for community-based health care providers seeking to implement cancer specialty programs. Recently, Meg and two business partners cofounded “CanSurround”, a technology start-up and public benefits corporation that is solely focused on helping to reduce and eliminate the emotional and spiritual distress associated with living with cancer. Meg has always been passionate about helping to guide people to healing choices. CanSurround is the incarnation of this commitment.

Bob Moul

Bob Moul is a Philadelphia tech CEO / entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience in the hi-tech industry ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies. In his latest venture, Bob is CEO of Artisan,
creators of the industry’s first mobile experience management platform. He was also the CEO of Boomi, pioneers of middleware for cloud computing, which was acquired by Dell in November 2010. Previously Bob was president of SCT’s $300mm global education solutions business which was acquired by SunGard
in 2003. He also enjoyed a 19-year career at EDS where he held senior management positions including director of EDS’ operations in Hong Kong and China, and executive director of its federal government business in Australia. Bob is president of Philly Startup Leaders and was named a 2011 Ernst & Young

Jeanne Mell

VP of Marketing Communications and Community Development, University City Science Center

Jeanne Mell joined the University City Science Center in 2009 as Vice President of Marketing Communications. She is responsible for corporate marketing, program development, communications,
public and media relations and community development. Jeanne also oversees Quorum, the entrepreneurs’ clubhouse, and the Science Center’s participation in
the Blackstone LaunchPad Philadelphia program.

Immediately before joining the Science Center, Jeanne was Senior Vice President, Communications for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, where she had overall responsibility for print and electronic communications, public relations and media relations.

Before making the move to PR and marketing, Jeanne had a career in journalism. Most recently she served as Director of Photography and Design at The News Journal in Wilmington, Del. She also worked at the Associated Press in New York and Philadelphia, ABC News, Good Morning America and Popular Photography Magazine. She started her career at Inc. Magazine – back when it was a startup.

Jeanne serves on the board of the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) and chairs AWE’s Fellows Committee. She also serves on the boards of Campus Philly, the Greater Philadelphia Life Sciences Congress and Meals on Wheels Delaware.

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Jeanne has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She lives in Wilmington, Delaware.

Steve Roettger

Steve Roettger is a graduate of the University of Delaware, with a B.S. in Finance and Management Information Systems (MIS). Steve has over 5 years experience developing custom web and mobile solutions. He began his development career by architecting a call-center performance tracking system for a large educational training company. In addition, he has developed other custom solutions including various e-Commerce applications, a symptom management tracker, a social media contest application, a crowd funding tool for Universities, and a mobile commercial real estate application. Steve is proficient in HTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP, and Ruby-on-Rails, and has extensive experience and knowledge working with various SQL-based databases. Some of Steve's recent clients include University of Delaware, Delaware Small Business Technology Development Center (Delaware SBTDC), Delaware Procurement Technical Assistance Center, (Delaware PTAC), Fiat, United Way, and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Matthew Swanson

Executive Chairman, Innovative Schools   |  

Matt Swanson is an innovator and entrepreneur in Wilmington, Delaware. He has most recently been appointed Executive Chairman of Innovative Schools, an engine for importing and cultivating innovative education initiatives. Matt’s professional background focused on corporate finance in New York and Los Angeles before the launch of FineStationery.com in 1999. A pioneer in Internet strategy and technology innovation, FineStationery.com revolutionized the consumer experience, communications and overall reach of the online print industry. In 2003, he was a finalist for the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award.
